I’ve clearly been feeling the monochrome outfits lately, and seeing how a good 70% or so of my closet is black, a look like this was a long time coming. I love mixing textures, especially with this trend du jour: a silky slip skirt and knit sweater. It’s a rather unexpected pairing but it’s amazingly easy to pull off and makes you look instantly stylish, but not like you’re trying too hard. Plus, it’s just super comfy. :)

This particular set is a total steal, with the sweater and skirt combined coming to well under $100. The two pieces have been some of my best fashion investments this season; not only do they go nicely with each other, they go with just about everything else as well.
