You guys know by now I have a soft spot for rompers. Any one piece that is an instant outfit, has an elastic waistband, and in which I can sit crossed legged is a win in my books. I picked up this frilly yet understated number on a recent visit to Planet Blue (the one on Montana Avenue in LA) and it was love at first sight. I personally think the girlishness of this piece works because it's muted by the all white.

A reader asked what bra I wear with this. My one tip is to wear pieces like this (semi-sheer, as whites often are) with as close a skin color-match bra as possible. It sounds obvious but it's tempting to try to match white with white undergarments (I have fallen victim to this temptation), which becomes counterintuitive when you can clearly see the delineation of white on skin. With a great skin color match, even a passing glimpse of your bra here and there (as with the second photo) isn't a problem.
