This look was shot while in Edmonton for Rigoletto with Edmonton Opera!
The location is the beautiful University of Alberta, not far from the Jubilee Auditorium, where our opera performances will take place.
It’s been awhile since I’ve done an outfit post! I’ve been in Edmonton for 3 weeks now and the weather here has been a rude awakening after New York’s very Summer-y temps. Overnight, I’ve forced to wear full-blown Fall (and on some days, even Winter!) attire. But it just so happens I LOVE dressing for Fall: the endless layering opportunities, the rich colors, the cozy fabrics… The options are so much more in Fall than they are in Summer. You can see from my smiles in these photos that not only is Kat a blast to shoot with, but I am really at home in warmer clothes!
My smiles may also be attributed to my excitement over this cardigan. To give a little backstory, I’ve been lusting after THIS long R13 leopard cardigan for a long time, but the price is obviously absurd. (I know it’s cashmere, but still!) So the second I saw this cardigan, a clear dupe for the R13 one, I ordered it STAT. Sure, it’s a foot or so shorter and not made of cashmere, but at a fraction of a fraction of the price, it more that satisfies my (rather specific) craving for a long, oversized leopard knit cardi. Further, I’ve had a feeling oversized leopard knits would be having a moment (I first wore a crew neck sweater in this print last year) and, gauging by the options popping up, I think I may have been right!
Thanks for stopping by!
