I'm unabashedly into knits, especially when it's not a basic sweater. I've owned knit pants, a knit hat, a knit bag, and a several knit dresses. But you know what really gets me excited? A knit dress that isn't just for Winter. WHAT. The second I saw this dress I knew I had to have it. Sadly, it was sold out in my size at the time and it wouldn't be until months later that I'd receive an email notifying me of a restock and that this baby would be shipped all the way from Australia and into my loving arms. (Moral of story: If they don't have your size, all is not lost.)
Let me make one thing very clear: I can be a bit terrified of cutouts. I'm evidently not afraid of showing a little skin in my fashion choices, but it very much matters where that skin is. Plunging or over-the-shoulder necklines, fine. A wide open back or a slit (but never at the same time), A-OK. But everyone has their insecurities—interestingly, being in the Bachelor family and getting to know many very beautiful people is one of the ways I learned that—and my stomach is the part of my body the sun very rarely sees. (Andi Dorfman and I regularly bond over our affinity for one-piece swimsuits.) I wasn't blessed with perma-abs and am one of those people that has to work for a measly 2-pack. Thus, the placement of this dress' cutout and I were a match knit in Heaven.
