Ponchos are totally the caftans of Winter, and if living in them at this time of year is wrong, I don't want to be right. I am obsessed with this updated poncho (SUCH a steal right now) which is a sort of leather jacket hybrid, as it really adds edge to a piece that can tend to scream, "It's cold and I've given up." That buttery-soft leather collar begs to differ. 

The rest of this outfit is a Wintertime go-to for me. I'm totally guilty of wearing black A LOT, but for every notch I go up on the practicality scale, I do my best to balance with a notch on the interest scale. This dress (which comes with a slip but I prefer it without) pretty much sums that up for me. I got it at a recent Alice & Olivia sample sale—one of my besties, Muranda, and I were there for an embarrassing amount of time—and it provided one of those euphoric "score" moments!
