What I Wore // Instagram 09.17.14

Whenever I visit my parents in Ottawa I always try to book a hair appointment with Mallory at Hair Republic. She's one of those gals that just gets you and what you're going for. I can be a bit of a stickler (read: pain in the ass) when it comes to my highlights...

BEFORE: "I want it too look SO natural that I'd rather it look like I've had nothing done than for it to look like I have highlights."

AFTER: "But I can't really see them... will they lighten over time??"

Mallory nails it every time.

I fell in love with this Chaser tank at Olive & Bette's in New York several weeks ago but tend to think twice before spending $60 on a measly tank top. However, after a recent visit to the dinosaur department at the Museum of Natural History, I've had dinosaurs on the brain and had to have this one. I figure if I still covet something (relatively affordable) three weeks after first discovering it, it's purchase-worthy.

Tank: Chaser Dinosaur Muscle Tank ($59). A Large is still available on Zappos, and the regular tank (not an open-side muscle) sells on Lord & Taylor for $48.

Necklace: David Yurman Carved Cable Disc in Large, in sterling silver and 14K yellow gold. (retails for $800, but who pays retail??) eBay's the best place to scour for deals on David Yurman. Case in point: This exact necklace is selling secondhand for $349 here

Thanks for stopping by!
