What I Wore: The Knot Gala 10.09.17

Many of you wrote me asking about the outfit I wore to The Knot Gala recently. The dress was actually a game time decision as the gown I was loaned to wear I wasn't able to try on until that same morning and it was way too small. I scurried to my friend Tovah's apartment and she loaned me this fabulous piece. What I love about it is that it has a slinky, barely-there look but is actually cleverly and strategically covered-up—I was able to wear a full strapless bra (no sticky bra!) which isn't always the case with these draped numbers.

The dress is by Necessary Clothing and Tovah bought it for $40!!! The bad news is the dress is no longer available online, though since she bought it only 2 months ago, you might have luck in store. The good news is the brand has a similar one in burgundy (HERE), and there's another very similar one in the same color but by a different brand selling HERE. You've seen my shoes several times now (I wore them for my wedding!), and the purse is the same one I sometimes convert into a fanny pack. The earrings are Alexis Bittar from about 3 years ago; I'm afraid I couldn't find them anywhere online!
