I have The Bachelor to thank for this particular wardrobe staple. I'd been eyeing these "Daria" leggings at Aritzia for awhile (I was in awe of how insanely leather-like they felt) but never thought in a million years that I could pull off leather leggings. But when I saw Kaitlyn wearing them, I took the plunge and decided to embrace my inner badass. Amazingly, they've become a go-to in my wardrobe.

As for the body chain, I've had several people ask how to wear them. I swear body chains are more doable than you think! In fact, like with this outfit, they can completely replace the need for a necklace while not overpowering the other jewelry (in this case, the statement earrings) you're wearing.

My rule of thumb for body chains: for the dainty, more fitted ones (like I wore here and here), they go under clothes. Think of these ones as a part of your skin, so subtlety is key. If you have a plunge neckline or open back going on, aka exposed skin—which isn't subtle—a super delicate, discreet body chain is the perfect accessory. (I'll often wear one backwards under a backless dress). As for body chains which are darker, looser (like the one above), and thicker, they work best on top of (fitted) clothes.

Thanks for stopping by!
